Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Washington Schools Information Processing Cooperative for Technology Related Services
It is recommended that the Board approve Resolution No. 17-30, authorizing the District to enter into an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Washington Schools Information Processing Cooperative for technology related services, to include software licensing, support and training for the District’s student, fiscal and human resources information systems.
In 1967, ten Washington school districts formed a cooperative to share software development, hardware costs and to provide centralized technology support. Today, the cooperative membership includes 280 Washington school districts and 9 educational service districts. Edmonds School District has been a member of WSIPC since 1974. WSIPC provides the District with software licensing, support and training for our student, fiscal and human resources information systems. Included in the licensing and support are applications such as Payroll, Online Applicant Tracking, Standards Based and Secondary Gradebook, Student and Parent Access, Textbook Inventory, Finance and Budgeting, among others. WSIPC also provides related Washington state required reporting capabilities enabling the District to meet its reporting obligations to the Office of Superintendent for Public Instruction throughout the year.
